Emeralds can be cut into a variety of shapes. Common shapes are Emerald Cut, Round, Pear, Oval, Cushion, Heart, etc.

While manufacturing Emeralds, various factors such as the overall shape of the rough stone are analyzed in order to determine what is the best shape that can be crafted out of it. The aim is to avoid wastage and to utilize the maximum amount of rough stone while eliminating the maximum number of inclusions.
