The First-Ever Rough Gemstones Sourcing Show Kick Starts At Jaipur on November 2!
The first ever rough gemstone sourcing show has been inaugurated by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India (GJEPC), the leading body for the promotion of gems and jewellery on November 2, 2020.

GJEPC organised a month-long first-ever rough gemstones sourcing show, India Rough Gemstones Sourcing Show-2020, which began on November 2, 2020 and will be open until December 11, 2020, in order to make rough emeralds available to the Indian cutting and polishing industry and also to allow direct sourcing of rough emeralds.The trade show is intended to boost the international gem trade in India and promote the nation as a gem hub.
The Zambian company Kagem Mining, owned by the Gemfields Group, will be exhibiting rough emeralds at the show.
During the ongoing pandemic, this is a first of its kind physical gemstone show, where all the necessary health departments of the central government and safety guidelines of the state government laid for COVID-19 such as social distancing, disinfection, compulsory wearing of masks, etc. will be followed. The organisers of the GJEPC show have ensured that only 12 visitors will be allowed to visit the show at a given time in order to avoid large-scale gatherings.
